2-YEAR-OLD BILINGUAL MONTESSORI SECTION

The Ecole Bilingue Chardin welcomes children from 20 months old in its 2 year old section (equivalent to the last year of nursery). For this class, and only for this class, we have chosen to follow Maria Montessori’s teaching method. The children are supervised by two professionals who are specialised in looking after Early Years children. One is a French speaker and the other is a native English speaker.

The children are cared for in a welcoming and safe environment which prepares them for entry into the bilingual preschool. To know more (…)

BILINGUAL PRESCHOOL

The classes of the Bilingual Preschool are comprised of 15-18 children aged 3 to 6 years old and have a tailored approach for each child. The children gain in their self-confidence and are allowed to develop their creativity, knowledge and skills at their own pace. The children acquire the basics according to the French National Education Curriculum to which are added: a bilingual immersion opportunity provided by their French speaking and English speaking teachers as well as an introduction to the visual arts, manual activities and theatre. PRIMARY

Each class welcomes a maximum of 18 children aged 6 to 12 years, from the equivalent of French CP (first year of primary) to the equivalent of CM2(last year of primary). Academic subjects are taught in the mornings and the afternoons are devoted to the Arts and Sport. The Chardin Bilingual School follows the National Education French Cuurriculum but takes the children further in several important areas notably offering the highest quality of teaching in Mathematics, Bilingualism, Arts and Sport. EXTRA-CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES AND COURSES

‘After-School’ during term time: for children enrolled in the 2 year old section section, preschool and school of Ecole Bilingue Chardin, 1 extra hour of activities featuring Arts and/or Sport, general culture or history. These classes may be in English or in French.
‘Bilingual courses’ during the school holidays: featuring different cultural, artistic or sports related themes. These courses are primarily reserved for school pupils but children from outside preschools and primaries can also be enrolled if numbers allow.
